Read 52 Books in
52 Weeks

I got the idea from some blog, somewhere, to read 52 books in 52 weeks. According to Google, it's a pretty popular thing to do. On the one hand, I don't really have time for something like this, but on the other, I don't really have time for a lot of stupid things I do anyway. So maybe this will cut into some of those.

Until I get the wiki portion of this site up and running, I have this list of books available for you to follow along. I don't think what I read is particularly important... it's more an exercise designed to get me back in the habit. For the sake of said exercise, let's say I started on July 1st. This week I finished The Woman Who Walked into Doors (Sarah brought it to Michigan for the 4th, and I brought nothing, so there you are).

Here's my one word review: Meh. Maybe I'll post a better one later.

Del.icio.us Integration

Looks like integrating my links from del.icio.us into my blog is working out. Del.icio.us is a "social bookmark manager" that allows you to tag (basically keyword categorize) your bookmarks, or explore what other people have tagged. I'm not necessarily into that, but it's a good way to have all your bookmarks available at any computer in a semi-organized fashion. I hacked up a bookmarklet that sends any new links I post to del.icio.us to my blog as well.

Travel Schedule for Summer 2005

An abbreviated list of when I'll be unavailable this summer:

  • July 1st - 5th: Michigan
  • July 8th - 10th: Chicago
  • July 30th - Aug 1st: Duluth
  • Sept 9th - Sept 16th: North Carolina

Hiatus Over

It's the one-year anniversary of the last time I posted to a blog, so today'll do for a comeback. Of course, I haven't gotten everything up and running yet, but I have a lot of neat ideas (and half-baked code) for flickr, del.icio.us, and wiki integration. For people who don't tool around on the web all day, that means pictures and stuff I find interesting. Check back.
