Read 52 Books in
52 Weeks
I got the idea from some blog, somewhere, to read 52 books in 52 weeks. According to Google, it's a pretty popular thing to do. On the one hand, I don't really have time for something like this, but on the other, I don't really have time for a lot of stupid things I do anyway. So maybe this will cut into some of those.
Until I get the wiki portion of this site up and running, I have this list of books available for you to follow along. I don't think what I read is particularly important... it's more an exercise designed to get me back in the habit. For the sake of said exercise, let's say I started on July 1st. This week I finished The Woman Who Walked into Doors (Sarah brought it to Michigan for the 4th, and I brought nothing, so there you are).
Here's my one word review: Meh. Maybe I'll post a better one later.

I think "meh" is the catch phrase of this decade

I have not read that book and i do not like it.

The way I read ... I would end up reading 52 books at the same time and try to finish in a year. I definatly don't have attention surplus disorder.

If you can read Gravity's Rainbow in one week, I will be very impressed. I've been having trouble reading it in one lifetime.

On the other hand you can read Fear and Loathing during a quick potty break at work, so you may be able to even it out.
Anyway, I like the idea.
I probably read at a rate that would come to 52 books a year if I could focus on and finish books reliably. Maybe if I made a list...

Read 52 books a year, eh? I do that anyway. But I guess that's recreation for the English Lit. major. Too bad you can't read and play poker at the same time.

BTW, "The Woman Who Walked into Doors" sounds truly horrifying. Try Julian Barnes' "England, England".

Who says?

I bow to your superior ability - I can only read while partying.
